Theresa Zuber - Author

Hi.  I’m so glad you stopped by!  Let me introduce myself.  Like most of you I’m many things to many people.  You may know me because I am an author.  I wrote a children’s book called, “Hit the Bed, Fred!”.  It was a life-long dream to have it published and I’m so excited that so many people love this fun bedtime story.  I’ve also written a murder mystery play that was performed by our local Arts Council years ago.  I’ve won some creative writing contests through the years.  I’ve  written skits and Easter plays for our church.  I’ve also written some meditations that I plan to share here on my blog as well.  Writing has always been in my blood.  When I was four I would dictate stories that my great uncle would write down.  Haha. What a patient guy!

I live in a rural area in southern Illinois. My husband and I have been married for 40 years and have 3 wonderful children and 3 amazing grandchildren who call me “Gram.”  I love being a grandparent and try to make the most of our time together.  We craft, have tea parties, treasure hunts, hide and seek in the woods with the side by side, playing games – whatever we can do to spend time together since they live a couple hours away from us.

My full time gig is working at a bank in compliance.  A far cry from creative writing!  I’ve worked there for 36 years!  I also play guitar and lead worship with our praise band at our non-denominational Christian church.  My faith is a huge part of who I am and what I believe.

I love crafting and am currently obsessed with creating handmade cards – and buying craft supplies. 🙂  I love to cook for my family and friends, love playing games but am also just as happy sitting by the firepit under a starry sky.

My life, with all its twists and turns, is what shapes my writing.  Come along for the ride!
